    It doesn’t really matter, I have 8 days until I’m never playing again.

    Oh, and yeah, CQY has a bunch of guild perks. 10% experience bonus, faster mount speed, reduced repair costs… It’s nice.

    Anyway, if you’re looking for some cool Cataclysm zones… I hear the Goblin and Gnome starting zones are great. Darkshore (L10-20) has a pretty cool questline involving Malfurion, the druid demigod guy. Westfall (10-15) has a hilarious CSI-inspired story arc. And I hear Redridge Mountains (15-20) is actually good now. Thousands Needles is a ways off (40-45), but it’s been one of my favorites so far.

    What’s everyone doing on Borean Tundra?? Play on Baelgun with Tolkoto and me, so I can give you gold and bags! Also, you get to join CQY, the old 1UP guild that was founded by Skip and the rest of Legendary Thread, still going strong four years later.

    Actually, our four-year anniversary is coming up on the 18th. There will be festivities. 😀

    @feenwager @cptcarnage 9 sounds good. Played a bunch of the Dwarf lands last night. The changes aren’t nearly as drastic as I thought they would be. The quests are still in all the same places, but maybe slightly different if at all, with a few interesting additions where the 5 year difference in quest design is glaring. I definitely don’t remember being launched into the air over a mountain or being strapped into flying machines and dropping bombs back in ’05.

    @beige I’m thinking about skipping it this year.

    So what class would be best for me to roll on the squads new WoW server. Ive run hunter up to 15 and I dont feel like treading new grounds. Druid this time?

    I am also basking in the wonderful world of REALLY fast internet speeds now. Strangely enough its not the fastest possible package available and there’s still a cap (125GB), but still check this out:

    Gamespot nominated Nier for best music of 2010, any validity to that?

    @feenwager I guess it’s ironic then that we’ll be playing an MMO that is built on fetch quests and ‘go back and talk to the person you were just talking to’ nonsense. Edit: Also, when will you be on later?

    @beige C’mon, you know you want to add a 10 day free trial to your Battle.net account and screw around with us, especially since you’ve heard about WoW nonstop for 6 years, but never tried it. I think everyone should experience a WoW instance at least once.

    It looks like Borean Tundra is the place to be. I’ve got a human warrior there called Konradbeezo. I plan to get on for some hijinks later on.

    So is there a server you guys are starting on?

    I have a lv11 Worgen hunter but i’d be willing to start another character on a different server if it means I actually have someone to play with.

    @feenwager Made a Dwarf rogue (just like old times) on Borean Tundra. Name = Bowlisimo. Got through the starting area (lvl 5), ready to bullshit tomorrow after work. 90% of me is already bored, 10% of me is super nostalgic. You can’t go home again.

    Account nonsense fixed. More downloading and patching and whatnot. Tomorrow looks like a go.

    Or maybe later tonight, who can say?

    If I wasn’t knee deep in studying for the clinical placement I started today, I wouldn’t mind trying it out with you guys just for the heck of it….

    Also, to follow everyone’s lead, here’s my top 5 for 2010 (because the amount of 2010 games I actually played is quite small):

    Red Dead Redemption – Love the setting. Love the character. The controls actually didn’t piss me off this time for some reason. Simply amazing.
    Assassin’s Creed 2: Brotherhood – I played this game for 25 hours in the span of under 6 days and beat the whole thing as I was entering finals time. Enough said.
    Super Meat Boy – Turns out I can be a masochist sometimes. 2D platforming that controls this well is hard to beat despite the insane difficulty at times.
    Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: the game – Love a classic beat em’ up and this one had the look and sound that I couldn’t stay away from.
    LIMBO (just completed yesterday) – everything about this game’s setting and mood just blew me away and pulled it ahead of P.B Winterbottom and Darksiders on my top 5.

    @allofyous It’ll probably take most of the night to install and patch, so maybe tomorrow? Anyone else getting on board say so now.

    @zegolf Elune it is.

    @zegolf Good to know.

    @feenwager Just say when. I’ll pull the trigger and we’ll Fung Wah bus it around Azeroth like Chinese tourists.

    @feenwager @bowlisimo I’m running around on Elune. Rolled a Worg. It’s fun, but I’m not sure how much longer I’m going to pay for it. I’ve got other ventures that I’m considering diverting that $15 a month toward. More lucrative opportunities.

    @bowlisimo No idea, but I’ll bet if you’re starting a new account they probably do still have a 10-day deal.

    @feenwager Does Blizz still do a 10 day free thing? I’m a little curious myself (not enough to buy expansions or actually play ever again). I sold my account in ’05 though, so I’d have to start new.

    Shit, I can’t believe how long ago that was.

    I’m curious about all of the changes that have been made to World Of Warcraft lately and I’m wondering if any Squad-mates feel like jumping in and running around together.

    No commitment, I’m likely to get bored after a few days, but it’s always nice to see a few friendly swords.

    @angryjedi If it’s so easy, then you can educate me when you come out to Cali next week. 😉 My biggest beef with the iPod/iTunes ecosystem (besides my general malaise towards the layout and presentation) is that my iPod Nano and all iPod Touches have proved incompatible with the 360 and a mega-pain in the ass on the PS3. I know it’s minor and petty but there we are.

    …and DON’T play WoW. @tolkoto‘s a drug pusher and he knows it.
