I can’t believe you guys with Dishonored man. I just decided to pull the trigger on the purchase, for really little reason other than the world of the game, which is basically City 17 200 years ago. I didn’t even really get started on the first mission of my rental copy before I decided this. It was around the time I got a sense of how deep I’d have to get into the environment before actually completing the first mission. That and everyone telling me how much of a real fucking stealth game it was, because that’s one thing I really can’t resist.

That, and the people suggesting this game have convinced me to put installing my copy of Thief at the top of my backlog journey. I thought you loved Thief @bluesforbuddha.

Jesus Christ. I can finally see what Thief II is all about… eventually.

@rocgaude I already bought vanilla Thiev at GamersGate some time ago. How much is the Gold update worth?

What I’m really waiting for is Thief II, which isn’t available digitally anywhere.

@angryjedi Yes, as the Thief games (1 and 3) are on sale on GamersGate as part of Square Enix week.

Also, Bulletstorm is up there for $12 for the rest of the day.

Okay guys I need some help here real quick: The Thief Series I hear @beige is the expert on this one.

I keep hearing that the Thief games are right up my alley, but I also keep hearing that Thief II The Metal Age is the good one. Problem is that’s also the one I can’t freaking find anywhere.

The first and third games are downloadable in a few places and are in fact on sale for $13 at GamersGate right now. How are they? I heard Deadly Shadows was consolized and wasn’t as good. Will The Dark Project even run on Vista?

The only way I’ve been able to find The Metal Age is through old physical copies on Amazon and places, but I have no idea if those will run on Vista or Windows 7.

@RedSwirl Nab The Dark Project, only for the fact it’s a great introduction to the world of Garrett. Regardless of NPCs looking like…how did Yahtzee put it? Like origami polio victims. Despite this, there’s more flavour oozing out of the Thief series than even System Shock 1 or 2. Willing to stand by that, and that’s with this massive SHODAN-fueled erection I have for the sci-fi horror franchise.

Thanks for the squadcast, too, Squadleaders! Looking forward to listening to it over the weekend. Knowing my luck justifying a 360 to – as Arthur Daley on Minder put it – “‘er, indoors”, I shan’t get a chance to play Deadly Premonition but will listen with vigour regardless.
