Alright, it’s pay day, which I guess means it’s time to get a card with some PSN fun bucks and grab Papo & Yo from the store. I may as well use the opportunity to also pick up Flower, since I’ve been meaning to do that.

@mjpilon I just started Flower a week ago and I had the same problem. It’s definitely a tad sensitive, especially at full speed. It kind of makes me mad, because I just want to relax, but my brain won’t let me fly past those damn petals I missed.

@UMD I’m trying to find something worthy of Dusk Metropolis (which sounds like a Sonic level). Might have to fall back on some familiar favorites. Also, I’ve always been fascinated with the Crusades, and that game is interesting to me, but I’m full up on strategy right now after buying Empire/Nappy Total War on sale not too long ago. As always, I’m grateful for the heads up.

@redswir1 Have you played Cryostasis? Man, I thought I was the only one. Weird game, downright abstract at times, but I really like how it ended.

Okay, so I FINALLY took a moment to get through Flower today (yes, I know… I know). Anyway, the game visually holds up even after almost 3 years. I will be upfront in one regard: I could have done without the Sixaxis controls. Too many times, I kept swerving side to side, missing flowers and needing to come back around because the controls were too sensitive. I understand that the controls were part of the experience but I would have been curious to try it with joystick controls.

Other than that, I loved the game and am kind of embarrassed I took this long to finish it. Did anyone else here have some issues with the controls?

Regarding the FS placement game: What the heck was that and how can I recover from subjecting myself to that?? I am looking at you @bluesforbuddha and @bowlisimo :p

@bluesforbuddha I feel the same way about Co-Op. The only good experience I have had so far is getting about halfway through Portal 2 with @feenwager (which reminds me that we definitely need to complete that at some point….). Otherwise, I have no desire to play to go out and play co-op with some random person on Xbox Live or PSN who may or not may have the same perspective and ideas what I view as a good game experience. Another issue with me is that I usually play games some time after their initial release (see my recent playthroughs of Alan Wake and PixelJunk Shooter as examples – not co-op but you get my point…) so most people have moved on to other games anyway. I will definitely get back to you if I ever purchase Ms. ‘Spolsion Man but it may not be for a little bit. Hope you don’t mind waiting…

Somehow today, I managed to spend 4 straight hours finishing up Bulletstorm. The dick and sex jokes definitely got old after a while but at least the game doesn’t overstay its welcome too much – took me about 7 hours to get through the whole thing. Truly dumb and mindless fun but that worked for me at this moment. Always appreciated a shooter where the weapons feel bad ass and this game is no exception….

For my next complete 180-style game experience, I will now move on to Flower. Been looking forward to this for a long while now 😀
