@cgrajko Seems to me like your GF’s previous gaming ways reflect a large portion of the population – the apparent 90 percent who don’t finish games. I think it’s because most people who play games still don’t think of them as linear narratives to be “finished”, but things to play around in. That’s why people won’t finish a six-hour Call of Duty campaign but will play 65 hours of the multiplayer.

The pedigree of Uncharted’s storytelling probably presented itself to your GF with an absolutely commanding focus in the other direction.
